Metolius Recon Crash Pad

The Metolius Recon Crashpad is a great tri-fold medium to large sized pad, and uses slighly thinner foam than other to keep the size and weight down. The 3-panel design has angled hinges that allows the Recon pad to fold up compactly for easy transportation to the crag. The angled hinges eliminate the gaps found in many pads, and make this pad suitable to be stored folded up.

This pad features a small external stash pocket for your loose bits and bobs, and large inner pockets for shoes, chalk, and other bouldering essentials. There is also a flap that reverses to cover the shoulder straps when the pad is deployed so you don't have to worry about getting yourself dirty on muddy days. Move around from boulder-to-boulder with ease thanks to the dual drag handles, and aluminum buckles that won't break duiring rough use. 

The Recon uses 3 layers of foam absorb impacts; 25 mm (1") closed-cell top layer, 60 mm (2½") open-cell center, and 15 mm ( ½") closed-cell base layer. It utilises a 900d body fabric for maximum durability, and features a cross-clipper logo rug for cleaning your shoes before your send go!
