How I choose the correct size?
All climbing shoe models fit differently. We put together our 'shoeculator' to help you find the
right size in a new model, compared to your old climbing shoes or street shoes.
Choose from the options below to find your size in the Five-Ten Aleon
Climbing Shoe
OR
Street Shoe
This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch
more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.
The Five Ten Aleon is a high tech bouldering and sport climbing shoe designed by Fred Nicole. It is a medium stiffness shoe which is asymmetric and moderately downturned, This stiffer midsole has a diamond cut out in the toe box to retain flex and senitivity whilst giving more support on tiny holds. A brand new last has a wider forefoot and a more pointed toe box than others in the Five Ten range, this directs power to the big toe and offers greater precision. The Aleon also features a very strong tension rand and a high arch which further reinforces the power being put through to the big toe.
The use of time tested C4 rubber for the outsole ensures huge levels of grip along with durability and a large rubber toe patch makes for more stable toe hooking.
By using a Primeknit material (technology stolen from Adidas trainers) in place of a standard tongue there is a hugging, sock like fit with huge amounts of flexibility. The microfibre upper is also lined for increased comfort with limited stretch and the inclusion of a single velcro strap closure secures your foot into place without losing the 'slipper' feel.
**Details:**
- Hook-and-loop closure
- adidas Primeknit textile upper
- Textile lining
- Stealth® C4 rubber outsole
- Medium-stiff midsole
- Sock-like construction hugs the foot
- Concave toe box for steep climbing
