DMM Freedom Leash

The DMM Freedom Leash provides the freedom of climbing leashless but without the risk of dropping your tools. The oversized attachment loop means larks-footing to your harness is quick and easy whilst the loops at the other end enable small connectors to be used for attaching your axes. Although the Freedom Leash is not PPE rated they do have a marked breaking strength of 2kN and can take small body weight slumps. If you were to slip and lose grip of your axes the loops half way down the tether can be used to connect a quickdraw so that you can gently pull yourself back up to your tool. The double Revo leash has a clip in point half way up. If you fall off but your axes hold, this allows you to clip a sling into the leash and pull back to your axes. A feature you hopefully won’t have to use, but will be glad of if you do.
