Ocun’s journey began in 1988 when Pavel Hendrych started making harnesses at home with his grandmother's sewing machine, using materials like decommissioned brake parachutes from the Czechoslovak Air Force. A few years later, Pavel's hobby turned serious, leading him to quit his day job and dedicate himself fully to the business. Since then, Ocun has significantly expanded its product line to include hardware, boulder pads, rock shoes, and accessories. By 2015, Ocun was not only crafting its own items but also producing soft goods for other notable climbing brands.
